INFINYMER™: “a new thermoplastic material”

Infinymer™ is the name we have given to the compounds resulting from our reprocessing mixed-plastic waste from post-consumer waste streams.

Through the BLENDYMER™ process , a mixture of different polymers can be transformed, in an economically viable way, into a solid amalgam with physical and mechanical properties that can be classified as "new thermoplastic material" (SenterNovem, an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs).
This breakthrough phenomenon, previously considered impossible, is the basis of the company’s patents.

Infinymers™ have characteristics comparable to thermoplastics such as Polypropylene, Polyethylene and ABS Polystyrene.

• Unlike existing recycled mixed-plastic products, Infinymers™ have good physical and chemical properties
• Infinymers™ are pelletized and easily processed
• They are a granulate (much better processing than grinded material)
• They are injection mold ready (i.e. stabilized, colored)
• They can often be processed at lower temperatures (quicker drying and mold release)

As a result of these characteristics prospects saw efficiency improvements of up to 25%when using Infinymer™ products as compared to other recycled plastic materials.
