Jacques Mot
 


Chief executive officer

Jacques Mot is the founder and CEO of Plastinum. Before that he set up Argenta & Magnum Management Company Ltd. " Gibraltar; a company that provided financial advisory services. From 1987 to 1992, he was the General Manager and Director of Iesa Investissements S.A., a portfolio management and investment company. Jacques attended the University of Lausanne, Switzerland studying economics from 1976‐1979.

When talking about his goals with Plastinum he clearly states that we should aim to contribute to a world where plastic is recycled and the “disposal” stage is eliminated. “Its our ambition to become the reference in mixed‐plastic waste processing solutions by creating new polymers from a variety of waste streams.”

Nils Berten
 


Chief operating officer

Nils Berten has thirteen years of experience in successfully starting and expanding businesses in the financial and real estate industries and has a strong background in leading sales oriented organizations. Prior to his employment with Plastinum Polymer Technologies, Mr. Berten was employed by Slokker Sales BV beginning in 2005 where he was responsible for setting up a financial services company for Coldwell Banker Realtors Netherlands and overseeing international real estate investments. From 2004, Mr. Berten developed the Funhaler, a new product for the young consumer. From 2003, he has also been the co‐owner of Klaus Vastgoed, a real estate investment company. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2003, he was a franchisee of Financieel Compleet. Nils attended the University of Amsterdam, studying business economics from 1987‐1994.

René Schutte
 

Senior Technology Officer

Prior to his employment with Plastinum, René was employed by Wavin T&I Dedemsvaart, a global supplier of pipe systems solution, as a Polymer Specialist. In that role, René was responsible for polymer analysis and the transformation of R&D developments into end products. From 1998 to March 2006, Mr. Schutte was employed by Hycail B.V. Noordhorn, a producer of poly lactic acid polyester whose assets and intellectual property were acquired by Tate & Lyle in April 2006. At Hycail, René was employed as Product Specialist R&D where his responsibilities involved chemical synthesis of new products, formulation work, internal and external evaluation of compounds, technical analysis of the formulations, implementation of the R&D developments and production process development and optimization. René obtained diplomas in Chemistry & Plastics and Chemical Laboratory education attending the "HLO Hogeschool Drenthe", Emmen the Netherlands, (Higher Laboratory Education, Bachelors, "Ingenieur").

Kevin von Tscharner
 

Project manager

Kevin joined Plastinum in 2006 after completing a Masters in Business Administration at ESDADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. Previously, Kevin worked in Account Management positions and Propaganda Global Entertainment Marketing and Netjets Europe having initially obtained a Masters international Relations. Kevin is now Project manager at Plastinum having initially been involved in almost all areas of the company during the pre-commercialization phase. “Plastinum is for me a fantastic experience for many reasons including ; the learning opportunity , the relationships I have developed, the possibility to contribute to resolving one of our planets environmental problems and being part of a very challenging and promising project.”

Emiel Huijbregts
 

Business Development Director

Emiel Huijbregts has build up over the last 13 years a impressive international working experience. He’s is a proven bridge builder between the different cultures in the world as well in achieving business goals. Mr. Huijbregts has a large track record in China and was active in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of API’s (Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients). “Being in China is a overwhelming experience from the business point of view and is a shocking experience from environmental point of view”. This was for mr. Huijbregts the eye opener to do something for the next generation, he has 3 children himself. That is where Plastinum Polymer Technologies with it’s unique technology comes in the picture. “Giving e-scrap and household plastics through recycling a new life and at the same time save the environment from more disposal is my drive.”
At Plastinum mr. Huijbregts will be responsible for Joint Ventures and building bridges between technologies and end users.

Vincent van Maasdijk
 

IR & PR Manager

Vincent joined Plastinum in February 2010 as the IR & PR Manager. Prior to his employment with Plastinum Vincent was employed by HTM fund as a marketing consultant. Previously Vincent was employed at SulphCo Inc, an oil processing company, as the international project manager. In that role Vincent was responsible for the installation of the sonocracking process at the customers locations. Also during this time Vincent was involved in the business development of SulphCo Inc. “Plastinum has a unique technology and a great team; I am very much looking forward to being part of the Plastinum team in the role out of the company

Erik Kroeze
 

Account Manager

Erik Kroeze obtained his PhD in Polymer Chemistry at the University of Groningen in 1997, after having written his thesis on new compatibilizers for the recycling of immiscible plastic waste! Since then, he has built up massive technical commercial experience within different positions in the B2B industry. He has worked for a.o Stork Prints in R&D Management, and DIC Eques Coatings, as a Sales and Product Manager Industrial Coatings. In his professional career he has matured his project management, general managing and international sales and marketing skills. He is fluent in 4 languages. Due to his technical background and solid knowledge of polymers, additives and applications, he is now a well appreciated and reliable contact for Plastinum’s international customers. “For me, joining Plastinum felt like going back to my roots. Furthermore, it offered me a unique opportunity to use my technical commercial skills in Plastinum’s great effort to turn the global post-consumer plastic waste into new economical viable products. Finally, the thought that my two sons and their generation might grow up in a little bit healthier, greener world because of it, is a great drive for me to be successful!
